At least here in the Minneapolis, Minnesota real estate market, we will see prices decline for a bit longer (in my humble opinion.) The supply of homes for sale, condos, townhomes on the MLS is still high. There is demand by buyers, but with the credit crunch as of late, it has become more difficult for buyers to get a loan.
I do have faith in our real estate market however. Minnesota has always been a slow and steadily appreciating state. With such a rise in real estate prices from 1998 to 2004, this dip is not entirely unexpected. Time will heal the wounds of this real estate and stock market mess. Buy and hold! Buy and hold!
