I have heard that property
I have heard that property ownership is quite restricted for foreign investors in South America countries. Do you have any advice on which countries are most favorable for foreign property owners?
A few words about Brazil
Brazil's property market is actually booming at the moment and attracting young investors. The country is the main interest in South America.
Brazil allows freehold ownership of land by foreigners with few restrictions on the type of property.
Non Brazilians will need to obtain a CPF number in order to buy real estate - it’s like a social insurance number. The purchaser should be in Brazil to obtain this number and it usually only takes a few days.

In my professional opinion I feel more and more people want to have property in the sun. If you look at property in Greenland it is very cheap and hardly sells! But then you go to places down in the caribbean and you realize that tourism funds their economy, and more and more tourists are now becoming residents.
